Koodo Communauté

I found a phone last year that is a few years old. It’s an iPhone 6. It seems to work fine on wifi but when I put my Koodo sim card in it it doesn’t connect to the network and cannot make a call. How do I find the owner using the IMEI number? How do I find out if it is locked to a specific carrier? How do I find out if it is on the black list of lost phones and how to reactivate it? How does it become useful again?

Thanks!

Unfortunately unless it has a contact named : home, mom, dad or something along those lines, there’s no way to find to whom it belonged. For blacklisting check here : https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

There was no emergency contacts. The phone has be reset/restored successfully.

I did the device check suggested. It only says it is on the blacklist of lost/stolen phones. What do I do from now? It doesn’t say which carrier locked it. How do I find out which carrier so I can contact them?

Thanks!

Once it’s blacklisted, this phone is of no use. Try poking in carrier settings. It may tell you which carrier it was with.
